Medisyn Technologies, Inc. is an early stage, privately held biotechnology company with a demonstrated approach to accelerating drug discovery and development by discovering and pre-qualifying novel lead compounds likely to move quickly through the drug development and approval process. Our in silico prediction techniques are accurate for drug safety, efficacy (including ADME properties), potency and even for identifying mechanism of action. These techniques have already identified over 120 lead candidates in 30 different therapeutic classes. Medisyn will initially focus on identifying effective cancer therapies.

Engineering New and Better Molecules

The Company's core competency is its unique ability to Forward Engineer™ new or improved molecules from customer specified properties. This is opposite from the conventional process of reverse engineering which derives properties from known molecules. Medisyn's capability is built upon a patent pending process for discriminant analysis that utilizes proprietary algorithms and proprietary topological indices (molecular descriptors). The Company's model is deployed in an efficient bi-directional software tool that allows rapid iterative analysis between molecules and properties (see illustration below).

Medisyn can rapidly design novel drugs with improved properties. Medisyn can also 'fast-track' compounds during development with its highly accurate QSAR (Qualitative Structural Activity Relationship) that include ADME-Tox (absorption, distribution, metabolism, excretion - toxicity) predictive capabilities. The Company adds value to life science research organizations as they assess compound specificity, toxicity, identify new therapeutic targets, or analyze large chemical libraries. Medisyn can provide higher quality leads more likely to weather the challenges of intensive clinical trials. By providing predictions on safety, efficacy and potency, license partners can expect a faster time to market and reduced development costs. Unlike traditional drug discovery approaches that consume years, Medisyn's entire process of discovery and qualification takes only weeks to complete. Cancer Research

Medisyn has accepted and completed several projects for the National Cancer Institute (NCI) focused on candidates for the treatment of cancer. The Company initially focused on non-small cell lung cancer as this is among the toughest cancers to treat and results in the highest number of deaths.

Medisyn's approach was described as a paradigm shift and evidenced by its eight patent pending compounds for lung cancer treatments that were developed in just ten weeks. This achievement compares to an average of six years traditionally consumed in the candidate discovery phase. Medisyn's initial lung cancer candidate, MT103, is now ready for license to a pharmaceutical partner.
